Been for lunch and then to Naomi Tydeman’s gallery in Tenby. She has the most amazing watercolours of Pembrokeshire and some new colourful pieces from Venice and India this year.
Setting aside the fact that Naomi is an incredibly talented, self-taught watercolour artist, her pieces are so evoking because they capture my favourite places in Tenby. I wish I could fill my house with her paintings and prints. I feel like I can connect with all of them in one way or another. A piece that I found particularly beautiful and nostalgic was a print of the harbour. It reminded me of swimming down by the slipway with my cousins which was just a few stone steps down from our blue house.
I’ve been feeling really summery and wanted to show it in my blog :) Spending the week in Tenby, Pembrokeshire. So beautiful and so full of memories. Just walking around the little harbour town it’s hard to find a place that doesn’t remind me of being 9 with my Welsh cousins. Bitter sweet though. So many family connections are frayed and broken now. I’m definitely making the most of time off work! I’ll be going back to Glasgow with my favourite person for a few days which I’ve missed doing a lot a lot. Then a mental night out in Newcastle with my best friend after which we will be staggering onto a plane and heading to Corfu! Always wanted to go and will feel so good to be in the sun for a week. Wooooooooopaaaaaaaa!
